Global Institute

Since the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, the University of Miami physicians and health care professionals have been in Haiti, treating the injured, and making arrangements for transfer to Miami for those needing further treatment.

This type of relief effort is not new to the University. The UM Global Institute was created by the University to contribute to the development of the global community.
